Two approaches to security in the examples of two IT companies

I would like to inform you about different approaches to security in the two successful IT companies. The difference in approach is explained by many factors. The countries where companies and industries are located (one of them is a competitive gaming company, the second is a monopoly of the social network).
Tim Campos, Director of Information Security on Facebook, said about Mark Zuckerberg's unusual approach to information and correspondence security within the company. According to him, after learning about the leak of secret information from the head of the social network did not hold a meeting and find out who was to blame. He just sent email to all staff with the theme "Will you leave?"
Zuckerberg asked the man responsible for the leak to leave work immediately, at his own request, since it will be detected anyway. Next, the head of the company explained: Facebook works on an open and clear basis. Anyone who leaked confidential information to the neglected media this opening and used it for their own purposes.
The second company:
The Japanese game company Konami has released dozens of very popular games for the different consoles, including the Metal Gear series, Castlevania, Silent Hill, Contra and many others.
Konami has its own analogue of the secret police, whose agents spy on colleagues in every possible way, including reading correspondence and studying records of surveillance cameras. Moreover, according to official reports, this secret police often tells the new employer of Konami's former employees how bad they were.
Every Monday there is a meeting of the Konami company address, which is broadcast on the internal website. All employees are required to see these meetings, and if they do not, their names are announced on the speakers.
As you can see, the approach is not simply different. It is absolutely different. In the social network is freedom and permissiveness, in the game company it is a repression. By the way, keep in mind that Facebook suffers from leaks, and Konami does not. No doubt lol
But that is not all. I mentioned that companies work in different markets, and that is why survival and development strategy differ extremely. There is a giant machine on Facebook idea that can stimulate the largest social network. There is no need to be afraid of leaks, if Facebook copies something from its competitors to many people know about it. It is different in the gaming industry, where everyone is fighting for a place under the sun. Every little thing that a competitor does not have is an advantage for the gaming company. And so, the greater privacy, the biggest benefit after the game's release.
So if your company is a monopoly in the market, you can try to act according to Facebook. If not, then there is no other way to survive, but to control the field of information security.
